Create an entirely new e-commerce platform from scratch that would disrupt how 1.4 billion Africans access global goods—giving individuals the purchasing power typically reserved for bulk buyers.
The Opportunity:
Most Africans pay premium prices for imported goods due to:
- Individual purchasing (no bulk discounts)
- Fragmented logistics
- Multiple middlemen
- High shipping costs
- Limited access to global suppliers
The Solution:
PreordeX — A batch-based preorder and procurement exchange platform where individuals and businesses join forces as groups to access wholesale pricing through structured demand aggregation.
The Mission:
Become the default gateway for 1.4 billion Africans (and beyond) to access global goods at wholesale prices with zero logistical friction.
The Challenge: Building Something That Doesn’t Exist
This wasn’t a typical “build a website” project. This was:
❌ No existing brand — Just an idea and a vision
❌ No reference point — No direct competitors in the African market
❌ Complex platform requirements — Group buying mechanics, batch management, payment coordination
❌ Untested business model — Had to validate concept while building
❌ Multiple user types — Individual buyers, group organizers, suppliers, administrators
❌ Trust deficit — Convincing people to join group purchases with strangers
The real challenge? Build a brand and platform so compelling that people would trust it with their money and change their buying behavior entirely.
